JPT provided Architectural and Engineering services for this Linear Accelerator equipment replacement for the Radiation Oncology Center located within a Northern New Jersey Hospital. The project work area encompassed demolition of the existing infrastructure components of the old linear accelerator equipment (Siemens Primus & Tomotherapy) and design of new components for the Varian Halcyon and TrueBeam installations.

In general, the scope of work included: removal of concrete slab; metal stud and gypsum board furred walls; infill of existing equipment pits for new base frame installations; routing of new conduit runs for the equipment; core drilling of shield walls for the new conduit runs or run above maze which depended on cable length; analyze existing HVAC system connected to existing infrastructure for required capacities and any new design to supplement existing systems; new electrical service from existing infrastructure to support the new Varian equipment loads.
